You know that moment where you feel like you are completely booked? But then somehow you have to add one more thing.
It doesn’t have to be big. You just remember that you need to call the bank or wash your sheets, but whatever it is, it’s just one more thing that will cut into your time.
You have a lot on your plate.
Or perhaps that day when you get a call from an old friend and it makes you wonder how they would fit in with your new friends. Are you staying true to your old self?
You are definitely growing up.
Maybe a friend has just reminded you of all that you wanted to do, or still wish to do. But, it feels like the window of having time to pursue everything closed when you were still in high school.
The very successful people your age seemed to have more time for everything.
Sometimes, it hits you in those moments where you are just walking through your city and you realize that you are home, and that other home is where you go to visit your loved ones, not where you live.
And it’s all a little bit terrifying, but it doesn’t have to be.
You are still young and the future is ahead. The truth is, you have time to do the things you have to do today, and the things you want to do tomorrow. You’ve followed a path to get you exactly where you are, and it’s where you should be. Just because you’re building a new life and a new home doesn’t mean you have to lose your other ties.
The point is, you’re still you even though life might be changing-and it’s probably overwhelming.
Make peace with what you are doing today and you can find new energy for tomorrow.
Sometimes we all need a little extra encouragement, and now that you’re an adult you don’t know who’s supposed to give it, so let’s give it to each other and ourselves. Besides, we’re not really adults yet anyway-I don’t think that hits until your 40s.
