Upon arriving to the hotel, we were greeted cordially by a friendly front desk staff and allowed to check in early. It is located in a prime area of Palermo Hollywood and near Palermo Soho, two of the most chic areas in Buenos Aires. The lobby is very old school in style with modern, new finishings and adjacent to a great hotel restaurant. When I walked into the room on the 4th floor I was highly impressed by the style and furnishings. The style in the room is more like Hamptons meets Malibu, with beautiful white finishes, a hand painted ceiling, and nautical-style furniture. The beds were comfortable with 250 thread count Egyptian cotton white sheets and new recycled pine hardwood floors.
The hotel included complimentary breakfast in the morning, with about 8 different options for styles of cuisine and breakfast being served from 7am to 11am. I had the ‘athletic breakfast’ which comprised of eggs, oatmeal, a banana smoothie, coffee, and toast. A great way to start a day of exploring Buenos Aires, which some describe as the Paris of South America. I spent the trip touring the Recoleta, San Telmo, Palermo, and other neighborhoods, all of which have endless things to see. The hotel staff was helpful in suggesting ideas and showing me areas to walk (and not walk) in Buenos Aires. The front desk also recommended a steakhouse nearby, which was both succulent and affordable.
Overall we we were highly impressed by the quality of the hotel, its staff, its location, and its price value. If you are traveling to Buenos Aires, we would highly recommend Hotel Clasico!
