Just two weeks ago, YGenMag stayed at the beautiful Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort located at Loh Ba Gao Bay on Koh Phi Phi Don – arguably one of the most luxurious and picturesque resorts across the many Thai islands.
The property is exquisite with its’ modern bungalows and villas (some of which have beach views & a private pool), three restaurants, and two infinity pools – one of which has a pool bar. We’d also like to mention the tremendously helpful concierge, PADI certified 5-star Gold Palm dive centre, and relaxing Wana Spa. The property is located just 20-25 minutes by longtail boat from Tonsai Beach, where we were able to explore local restaurants & a unique nightlife.
Upon arrival by longtail boat from Tonsai Pier (organized by the resort, of course), we were graciously greeted by the staff with ice cold towels and their signature ‘welcome drink.’ Shortly after, we were taken by golf cart to our bungalow – just a 2-3 minute walk to the beach.
The room was contemporary and secluded, perfect for any romantic getaway. Although not abundantly spacious, the room did have a comfortable king bed, free WiFi, a fully stocked mini bar with plenty of bottled water, & a magnificent bathroom with a rainfall shower system.
We had the chance to dine at Api Restaurant, serving authentic Asian and International cuisines. Although it was a little on the pricier side for Thailand, the service was impeccable & the wine/cocktail menu was lovely. After dinner, guests can enjoy the relaxing bar and lounge while listening to live music.
We also had the chance to take a half-day snorkeling & swimming ‘tour’ of the various nearby islands including Maya Bay, Hin Pae, and Phi Leh Lagoon courtesy of the resorts’ dive centre. The staff was not only friendly, but also safety-oriented. We would highly recommend anyone to speak with the concierge to book a tour with the dive centre!
