YGenMag stayed at the luxurious SO Sofitel in Bangkok – located in the heart of the city with a beautiful view of Lumpini Park.
Not only is the SO Sofitel located conveniently downtown and just 2km away from PatPong’s nightlife, the property itself was both alluring and chic. The rooms themselves are inspired by the five elements of water, earth, wood, metal, and fire. They are spacious & contemporary with floor to ceiling windows, flat screen TVs, amongst cutting edge technology.
The most alluring part of the property, we must say, is the rooftop infinity pool with an unparalleled view of the city. There is a cozy lounge area and bar – which has made the SO Sofitel just about famous for their monthly pool parties.
Although there are many restaurants and bars throughout the property, we did have the pleasure of dining at the Park Society where we enjoyed a creative 5-course tasting menu at one of the chef’s tables. The dishes were both unique and flavorful, in particular, the lobster bisque with a Thai infusion. Even better, we were able to enjoy with another spectacular view of the city. For those of you looking for something a little less pricey, we also had the opportunity to dine at The Red Oven. While, although, this might look like your typical buffet – don’t be fooled! The Red Oven resembles your traditional street food market where you can enjoy many types of international cuisines, at any time of the day.
Overall, if you’re looking for a luxurious hotel in Bangkok with 5-star restaurants, excellent service, & a marvelous view of Thailand’s beautiful city – look no further! We’ll surely be back again to enjoy.
